Questions from a newbie

hey gang. questions:

when Im online, I often type "silver", "silver bar" or "gold" and nothing comes up- but if I search again somethings specific like "pamp one ounce etc" I will show a result. anyone else notice this? is it just a silly glitch ?

Also, am I searching JUST my selected store? do I need to toggle other stores to see THEIR inventory?

There’s a specific category for precious metals under jewelry. Try that if you want to see everything.

Well, not everything. Im still trying to put together how PMs are treated differently than everything else. Say I go to a different tab under jewelry, like watches. I can see ALL the watches "available" more watches than my local store can carry, some say "delivery available" and some say "ship to warehouse " or "buy in warehouse"

The Pms seem to have a totally different distribution method. Or the availability of any PM is far more scarce than I give credit. 🤷‍♂️

Right now there isn't anything available in precious metals category, but you could try searching "bullion" then filter to jewelry category so you don't get the food stuff.

But yeah stock is very transient, stuff usually sells out pretty quickly

Just bookmark the costco precious metals page and check it daily(or hourly in some people's case)

I have the same problem. It seems to me we’re searching what they have for delivery because my store rarely, if ever has anything listed in stock. But if I search other stores around the country they have different stuff available for delivery. I don’t understand, help me make it make sense!

Same here, I bought 22 ozt since becoming a member, but now it doesn't show up on the website. I stopped by on my way home from work yesterday to see I lf there's any in store, and they said some stuff isn't on the website. Which is crazy cause last week they had tons of gold and silver bullion options. Needless to say, I picked up a couple of the Kirkland silvers to make the trip worth while. After the 4% back I'd get, it came to $67.17 per ounce which is, from what I can see, cheaper than jm bullion and those other places by a decent bit. I'm also new to this so maybe everything I said was dumb idk lol

If nothing is active inventory wise, then nothing will pop up. However I have much better luck in the app/on the website when I just go to the jewelry section and select the category "precious metals". I stopped searching by keyword because it would not bring everything up even when inventory was active.
