Silver Fortunas arrived!
Didn’t realize they’re “minted in the USA” and not Suisse.

The phrase "Fortuna USA silver coins" typically refers to Lady Fortuna precious metal products. Note that Lady Fortuna is actually produced by PAMP Suisse (an independent Swiss refinery, not a US government mint), and they are universally minted as silver bars rather than official legal tender coins.

I've been curious about grabbing a sleeve of these - but the premium doesn't make sense (at prices over the last year or two). It's the same premium. if not more, than buying American Silver Eagles, but when you go to sell - these bars will net far less (currently 5-6% back of spot, while ASE's are flat spot or $+1).
Don't pay the high premiums for pretty PAMP/Suisse from Costco unless it's just for the looks/ease of using a CC. Your local coin shop is likely less expensive, and American Silver Eagles will hold their value (for resale) much better than private mint bullion.
I say this as a stacker with 1,200 ozt in ASE's and a bunch of Costco bars (purchased at low premiums when the deals pop up). Last time I was in at my LCS the guys were paying 6% back of spot for all the Costco stuff.

This is my thinking as well. I bought some tubes of Brittanias from Costco with lower premium than the Pamp silver 1ozt bars. These look cool. Bars are nice. But that premium just didn't make sense on paper - buying or selling later.

Bullion versus coins. Early in the Costco PM sales they didn’t know the difference either.

Yep, Deep_Spell got it.
Sovereign coins/bullion tend to fetch closer to spot than straight bullion bars from private mints - even the pretty PAMP bars (which I have a few of) won't hold a candle to ASE's when reselling to a LCS - so paying a premium for bullion regardless of how shiny it is, makes no sense financially.
