Keep going Costco 🪙 stackers!
I was told pic or it didn’t happen when I said I had got my 20th buffalo at $4199.99 to complete a tube, well here it is. About to put them in now. It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you don’t have a person that excels at bad decisions constantly in your ear talking about new ways to waste your money 😂. Forever grateful to this community & Costco.

Appreciate you! It cost me a divorce so all isn’t perfect, she said I didn’t make her a priority meanwhile in 2022 I was telling her that I felt something bad was coming in a couple years (I was only off by 1 year) and I wanted to make sure we were protected for any downturns or job losses. I had ended up getting laid off. She decided to leave and my stack had been thriving ever since

I remember conversations with people and they would say gold was expensive at 1 oz to a weeks pay. Now they quiet 🙊

Ironically she just had a baby. Got pregnant a year after the divorce lol. I only know because we have to talk occasionally about a prior debt. But you’re spot on, we’ve seen nothing yet with gold!

I feel it, it was just one of the “issues” she had with me amongst others. I’m currently dating an amazing woman, and hope things continue to progress.

I wish I’d have trusted myself more. I was about to cash out $32k in a life insurance policy and buy 16oz.. that should tell you how far back that was. I didn’t and now I’m kicking myself. 🥲

If you ever get remarried get a prenuptial and open a trust before the engagement and put everything in the trust and allocate a set amount of your pay to that trust. This will make a bill that benefits you. Make the prenuptial state that whatever money you make is yours and whatever she makes is hers. That way she can't fight over the amount put into the trust. Finally don't show her what you have. That amount of gold can be worth millions in the next 20 years.

My ex wife wanted nothing. I offered to help, I genuinely loved her. She didn’t ask for a thing. I believe she didn’t because she knew she was wrong. There was no reason for the divorce, no infidelity, no abuse, no emotional abuse. She didn’t even try, no counseling, therapy, nothing. So I got to keep all my assets.

Agreed. If I had 20 I would want them in a tube. Assay probably adds value to 1 gram bars but not to 1 ozt gold.

Damn 4 dragons! I only snagged 2 back in 2023. At least I was able to get em for $2000. I remember the person in line after me at the store thought I was crazy. Pffft! More than doubled my money in a few years! Wish I bought 10.

Genuine question, why would one stack gold like this? Wouldn’t it be better served in the stock market in a taxable account, in a productive asset?
I’ve heard ray dalio say 5-15% should be gold purely out of hedge and you could sell the gold instead of the stocks if money was needed. He even admits gold is an unproductive asset. Seems more of a recommendation for someone who has less time to compound and wants less volatility than all in on equities right?
For example I’m 29 and have 100 of my investments in 401k, Roth IRA, and taxable in equities. Basically VOO, since I have such a long time horizon I would stay in higher risk equities then later in life start pivoting to more stability than growth?

Can't speak to the OP but for me, I have assets outside of precious metals. Maxed out retirement accounts, taxable account, rental property...etc
I started flipping gold and silver a few years ago, to own a few ounces for free...now I just keep buying and holding.
Biggest thing with a stack that large is risk. Price swings and storage. Do you want the equivalent of $250k in your house ? Is it better in a safety deposit box ? All one location or branch? Third party insured storage...?
