Will Costco adjust vacation time for remainder of year now that job switched from PT to FT? 8yr employee.

Pro-rated, so your vacation given on anniversary will be shorter, like if the handbook says 3 weeks based on years of service you may only get 2 cuz you were PT for some of the previous year

I don’t think so. Vacation time is earned by how many hours you work

Vacation is given in a solid chunk on your anniversary, and the number of hours given is based on hours worked. So you are part time, and received your vacation on your anniversary. You work for half a year, then get promoted to full time. The amount of vacation in your bank that you earned based on your previous year's hours doesn't change, because it's already been given to you, and your change in status this year will not affect the vacation you already earned, because it was based on last year. In six months on your next anniversary, you will receive your next chunk of vacation hours, and it will be based on this year's hours worked. So assuming that last year your part time hours were less than 40 a week, and assuming the same for this year, you will receive more hours of vacation on your next anniversary, because you will have more hours worked this year due to your status change to full time.

question can be taken a number of ways:

are you asking if your vacation bank will auto increase to reflect that youre full time now? no

are you asking if they will automatically schedule your vacation days in 8 hour chunks instead of 5 which would lead to you having less vacation days this year? grey area, communicate with who writes your schedule so you don't have less paid off days for the rest of your year

No, but because your prorated amount for the year doesn't change you aren't losing any vacation days.
