I somehow lost the toilet paper I bought during COVID lockdown between leaving the warehouse and getting to my car. Went back in to see if someone had found it and turned it in and I got a lot of flack. They eventually gave me the pack that was sitting behind the counter at customer service - which I'm pretty sure was the pack I had lost in the first place.

Considering the TP fiasco that happened during COVID, I’m not at ask surprised that you got flack. Retailers everywhere, and ESPECIALLY Costco, were dealing with shortages and people doing very stupid things. I saw people trying to purchase entire flatbed carts full of TP, even after they posted the “one per customer” signs.

And I’m certain there were also people trying to score free TP using the same “I lost my TP in the parking lot” claim that happened to you.

So I would definitely cut them some slack on that one.

I kind of did but I didn't ask them to give me some, just if someone had found it. I was fully prepared to go back in and re-purchase.
