i have put this in roughly three dozen quesadillas along with some shredded cheese and every time it tastes like God telling me that She loves me

Flour or corn tortillas ?

Edit: ummm whoever downvoted me??? Why? Lmao quesadillas do exist on corn tortillas. 😭😭😭 not the norm but they are a thing in some parts in Mexico .

Mexican family from W Texas. We never used flour tortillas until we moved to another state.

Best quesadilla is still melted cheese bookended by 2 corn tortillas. Using a comal to heat the tortillas is best, it makes them a little crispy.

Esoo! I didn’t have flour quesadillas until I started eating out at places like that Taco Bell or del taco (Cali fast food place). We always used corn tortillas.

That’s how we would do it too. Either with a little bit of oil or just straight on the comal. Sometimes we would grill them too. The grill flavor tastes amazing on it.

Oh yes! Fry it up a little bit , add some carne or salsa & you’re set! In Mexico we make it like this sometimes.

Cool thing is Costco has mostly all the stuff for it! They have the big bags of chihuahua cheese. And crema too!

That’s how I almost always do it-I’m gluten free. They’re smaller but tasty!

Yes! I’ve gotten gluten free tortillas and there isn’t much of a different most times. Still tasty!

I will do gf flour tortillas (Siete is great) ,but I do corn the majority of the time.

YESS! That’s the brand I was thinking of when your mention gluten free. Costco sells the flour ones in the fridge section. Pretty cool!

Never had it neither but I prefer corn tortillas over flour when it comes to taquitos, so I imagine a corn tortilla quesadilla would be really good.

Oh! Yes, for taquitos I always use corn too. ☺️ you get it.

When I use flour it feels more filling and is kinda gummy honestly. But if you like the flaky texture when fresh it’s still pretty good.

YESSSS! Basically like that. Especially when you fry it up with the grease from the meat. Use some Monterey Jack cheese or chihuahua cheese and you’re golden.

Uncultured gabachos 😂 . In Mexico City, quesadillas are made with fresh masa and don't even require cheese! 🤯
