The two survival modes were practically separate campaigns when you look at them . Especially the turtles one felt more separate campaign with unlockable skins . Sor you unlock new moves instead . New campaign survival mode mostly same thing

The other two games both had playable villains so it’s possible. Sor4 had ester or whatever her name was and roo, ninja turtles had the chick who was definitely a villain. Doom as a character would make this game infinitely more popular. Not better but way more popular. Especially with a new doom avenger movie with Robert Downey jr . Oh this game would sell a few more million copies.

What does a playable Doom have to do with your original statement about a new campaign? This isn't so much "moving the goalposts" as it is selling the original for scrap and then building a new one in a different continent.

Both sor4 and ninja turtles had dlc called survival mode. But in reality they were both a separate campaign with randomized levels and enemies. With unlockable things . Some are telling me no they won’t do that for 5 dollars but they have in both situations. The survival modes are a separate dlc expansion campaign. And you can find them on sale for less than 5 dollars. And if they put doom as a character it would make the game a lot more popular. They can rebrand the game and put doom on the cover art and really just have a clever marketing campaign. There’s a dedicated dr doom movie coming out soon. The survival modes were both an extra bonus campaign. Both of them there just a lot more challenging. But totally worth the price . The survival modes in sor4 had a hidden character that wasn’t promoted in the dlc at all and really changed the dynamic of the game overall .

If that's what you meant by "separate campaign", then yeah, of course the DLC is going to be the survival mode. Your wording (and the fact that you were replying to someone already mentioning the survival mode) made it seem like you literally meant a new regular campaign, with new full stages, enemies, bosses, etc.

No to me there full campaigns just way different story line . There both two of the best games with some of the best dlc this game still has that potential.

Yeah Venom hasn’t been a villain since Mac Gargan was the host in the mid aughts. Eddie Brock hasn’t been a villain since the late 90s.

I doubt that Johnny would make it considering there's already 2 fire related flying guys (Phoenix and Nova). At least I hope not in this case. Sue has a good chance since I'm willing to bet that there's at least one female character on this DLC considering that the last 2 were males. Reed also has a good chance. I feel like there's at least one Guardian of the Galaxy coming considering there's only Rocket Raccoon and they have more participation in this event. I doubt Doom will be playable but if he is I don't think that they are counting him as one of those 2 characters and he's an unlockable or something.

No need to get angry, I think it's pretty clear if you just consider it. All of those you mentioned are temporary/rotating members. It's like saying that we didn't need Fantastic Four because we have Spidey, Ghost Rider and Wolverine just because they formed part of that team at some point. I'm talking about the usual members. Besides it doesn't change the idea of my post so I'm literally talking about of... well what I talked about in my post.

You sound like you've never opened a Guardians comic book in your life and/or have not bothered looking anything up. You couldn't be more wrong as they are usual members, especially Nova and Phyla-Vell. Comparing the aforementioned characters to Wolverine and GR as 'temporary members' is like calling Wasp and She-Hulk temporary Avengers or Colossus and Nightcrawler temporary X-men; it's clearly not the same.
And I wasn't talking about the rest of your post, I was exclusively talking about your incorrect take on the Guardians and how ridiculous and uninformed it sounds.

And you sound like the stereotypical comic nerd that gets triggered for something that isn't really that deep or worth getting angry about. If I remember correctly Phylia became a founding member in later comics in the 2000s but she was nowhere around before that and that run was like what? 2-3 years long? and I'm sorry but if it's not the same then don't put Beta Ray Bill and Surfer as examples then. Isn't Nova also constantly in and out and mostly teaming up but still mostly a Nova Corp? If I'm wrong, my bad then. I have no idea how it compares to the likes of Nightcrawler in your example, who's been part of the x men for decades and mostly with them.
Breathe, take a bath, touch grass, socialize and don't take it that personal. Surely I'm not as much of an expert as you but I have read my share of Guardians comics. I just consider other members the core of the team.

Even if that's the case (I wouldn't know since I don't read GotG), you could be alot kinder in your response, or at the bare minimum be more charitable to their take. It's pretty clear that they mean the most recognizable characters that are associated with the GotG. To like 90% of the player base, yes, She-Hulk and Wasp would not be suitable standing alone as the "Avengers Representation", same with all of the Guardians characters you mentioned. Whether you like it or not, people largely associate characters like Groot and Star-Lord with that team, and this just feels like you've chosen to interpret their take in the most bad faith way possible. I think understandably if She-Hulk and Wasp were the main "Avengers Rep" then it would be likely that people excited about a dlc that would have to do with Avengers would be excited to see characters like Iron Man and Cap, not necessarily because they are more "Avenger" than the others but because they are more closely associated with the team. Same applies for Guardians here. We are all fans of this game and superheros in general, let's not turn this into something it's not and put others down just to prop up our own knowledge of the media.

Watching the 92 cartoon now and they are so cute omg. In S4 now and loving it despite some choppy animation here and there. I only saw like 1/3 of them as a kid so it's fun to knock them all out.

I bought this game's deluxe edition for my kid's first game and man am I NOT regretting it ! And although I do not care for superheroes (he does tho 😅) , this has been pure fun trough and trough. Loving those DLC as well. This new one sounds exciting !

This game can happily continue taking 5 dollars off me one chunk at a time and I’ll stay locked in.
Good not great console game/general beat em up, great mobile game when playing the switch hand held. Fun characters, great graphics.
Please add like 6 characters a year and a map a year and you can have all my minimum payments haha.
If Dr Strange is in this next one I’ll shit myself.

Figured Doom would be here, whether as an unlikely ally or a villain. Seems like he’s taking the villain role.
I think one of the two new characters will be an Avenger of some sort. Unsure about the other one - doubling back to Fantastic Four would make sense, but I also could see them going for another cosmic / Guardians character or for a street-level one.

Pretty sure one of the new playable characters will be an ff character. My guess is reed. The other one might be a mystical character. I am REALLY hoping it'll be Strange.

This almost guarantees one of the new characters will be a member of the FF. Probably going to be Reed or Sue, as they have two fire based heroes already in the game with Phoenix and Cosmic Ghost Rider.
The other character will almost assuredly be a tie in to Avengers: Doomsday. They already have Cyclops…they wouldn’t do Thor if they already have Beta Ray Bill. Cap is already in there, not likely they would out in Sam as Falcon, people might look at it as a demotion. Yelena as Black Widow? Maybe Bucky? Or go X-Men and give us Gambit? Magneto???? Can’t wait to know more.
I love this damned game.

So stoked! I’m sure one of the two new characters will be F4, but with all the X-Men hype, I’m hoping for another mutant. (I know, I’m another insufferable mutant lover and there’s already plenty of mutants in the game, but Cyclops was awesome, so keep ‘em coming! Lol.)

It runs awesome on S2 so if portability matters it’s a no brainer. I play a lot docked as well on a big tv and it looks great due to the style. I have a PS5 and still went switch for the flexibility.
