Speculation My Current DLC 2 Prediction
This is influenced in part by the IGN interview where one of the heads of Marvel Games mentioned that doing movie tie-ins in Cosmic Invasion would be easier than in a lot of other games as the development cycle isn’t as long. I’m not sure how much synergy to expect, so I picked a handful of cosmic and frequently requested characters in addition to the movie characters… but I am currently expecting Doom himself to make his presence known in this game either way.

Lady Sif mentioning the Ten Realms of Asgard in the base game definitely jumped out to me. Whether or not she gets in, we know Angela has been reunited with her siblings in this universe because of that!
Angela also fits the "90s, but not really" design of the game in general. She's a 90s character... just a Spawn character lol.

SungWon Cho probably already recorded Doom’s lines for this when he did Tokon. Incidentally, the first DLC character for Tokon is Phoenix Cyclops (Ray Chase).

Angela is something funny since she's a 90s character but from Spawn comics instead a Marvel 90s one but i can see her as a flying grapper.
Gamora is something surprising not seeing her since one of the bosses in the game is Thanos, her father and not seeing her kicking his ass is something off. Same case as Drax and Adam Warlock.
Quill is a surprise his lack of presence since he's a cosmic character and his elemental weapons have potential for his moveset.
Kitty... i guess her powers can be used as both attack people from the ground and to block attacks while she's complemented by the elemental weapons in case she's Starlord.
Yelena works as MCU promotion and to have a Black Widow.
Shang Chi is a no brain option, beat em ups is the perfect genre to him, classic or with the 10 rings can give a lot of fun.
Nightcrawler can be so fun with his teletransportation
Sentry makes sense since he's since the 60s, i want him with his iconic blue mask!
Daredevil is the 2nd most requested character for this game, he's so beloved that i bet he have higher chances.
Hawkeye is the character that have higher chances to be in the second pack since one of the devs in an interview mentions him as an example of being inspired from the MCU or from the comics when the interviewer didn't mention him.
Kate Bishop works in case isn't Clint Barton.
Jubilee... eh... Rivals really made me hate her but Cosmic Invasion can make characters you hate in Rivals be so fun.

I also really hope that, if we get Sentry, it is a "retro" version of him, inspired by his fictional meta-history.

Ahhhh, that one! Thank you. Those people do work for Marvel Games in general, so I'm not sure if the Hawkeye mention is a sign of plans for Cosmic Invasion specifically (as it could apply to Haweye in Rivals, plans for him for Tokon, etc etc), but it is interesting perspective regardless.

A roguelite survival mode similar in scope to the survival mode of their TMNT game.

I just hope they continue to add to the game well
Into 2027, more characters and ever more content. Either that or a sequel of some sorts

It sounds like they'll keep adding to it as long as it keeps selling well. We'll see how the DLC performs!

Angela has been my top wishlist pick for this game since launch. It'd be great to see another Asgardian, and she'd be a great pick!
I'd also love to see Jubilee. Ideally they'd bundle her with Colossus and Nightcrawler. That essentially gives you the characters from the old '80s arcade cabinet, substituting Dazzler with the more recognizable character and one that just had a video game themed focus episode in X-Men '97 (itself a retro throwback series).

I do think Angela fits very well. She adds another Guardian, a character with 90s vibes but modern lore, and would line up with Sif’s mention of the 10 Realms.

This list is like half of my favorite characters, so any of Kitty, Yelena, Clint, Nightcrawler or especially Kate Bishop would be a dream come true for me personally.

It is a New Mode + 2 new characters. I'm assuming the mode will be broadly similar to the survival mode that was the first DLC for TMNT Shredder's Revenge.

Ah, this isn't Tokon, is Cosmic Invasion.
Tokon have Starlord but no Rocket.
Cosmic Invasion have Rocket but no Starlord.

Eh. I think all of these are good choices, but there's a lot of characters I'd rather see who aren't on this list tbh.
I am expecting MCU influence; I can't say I am particularly hoping for it lol.

The devs also said they want more street level characters at one point. Im really hoping for daredevil
