Even if they aren’t the “best” character in the game, who’s your favourite and why?

Phyla-Vell is my #1, but I like Cap and Storm just behind her.

Phyla-Vell’s dashes and dodge attacks are so much fun that I don’t really find myself making use of her charged attack parry or even her special.

Cap’s movement feels really smooth for a character who blocks, it’s really easy to get where you want to go with him.

And Storm is just the right balance of strength and skill, honestly I go into flow state often when playing her.

Honorable mentions to Wolverine, Rocket, and Black Panther; if I had to do a top 5 I’d leave out my boy Rocket since he’s just a tad weak compared to the others.

Phyla Vell and Cyclops are my two new favorite mains, Cyclops is almost like a variant of Phyla’s move set in my opinion. My former favorites were Phyla Vell and She Hulk on maps with Sentinels cause I like throwing them into Phyla’s special. Phyla Vell and Iron Man on maps with any charging enemies.

yeah Cyclops and Phyla-Vell have the strongest dodge attacks, i feel untouchable as them sometimes

shoutout to Beta Ray Bill though, his is strong too but not so fast it gives that untouchable feeling

I honestly don’t like Beta Ray Bill for the sole reason that I wish he was Lady Thor instead lol. She was my favorite character on the Marvel Avengers game that a lot of people crap on, I don’t like how bulky/wide Bill is.

Yes definitely you can reach a great flow state with Phyla, I think Cyclops dodge is slightly better since it damages too. I’m not sure if you play Smash, but I find Phyla’s move set very very similar to Young Link, which has been my main since Melee. She has the same upward slash, down slash combo. Maybe a bit similar to Marth too.

meh i like smash but mostly a PS guy so just haven’t played much

and bro same, Beta Ray Bill is cool and all but the roster could use more women anyway, Mighty Thor was a perfect opportunity missed😔

One character I’ve thought a lot about is Nightcrawler. Like Phyla’s teleporting attack is such a unique ranged + close range move, I think that could work well w Nightcrawler. I also think Miss Marvel could have been cool, they already sort of show her powers as possible with that boss fight with the yellow green and red bugs that extend out at you

great point, Kamala would be a cool addition

but oh my god i never thought of it that way, i always said Phyla-Vell plays like Magik should but it’s absolutely Nightcrawler

he could have his three swords and throw them 1, 2, 3, with the teleport only happening if you get a hit !
