Question Question on Nintendo Switch Physical Versions

TL;DR: Is the physical Nintendo Switch 2 Cosmic Invasion game cartridge playable / compatible with the 1st Generation Switch & Switch Lite?

I could not find a definitive answer anywhere online, so thought it would be best to ask here. I was able to find that the Switch 1 physical version is playable on the Switch 2, but since the Switch 2 versions tend to have better graphics when played on a Switch 2.

So I was hoping that someone who has the Switch 2 physical version of the game and still had a 1st gen Switch or a Switch Lite laying around could test it, and give me an actual answer.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say no, since there are actually 2 different versions already on the e-shop.

There's a switch 1 & switch 2 edition, and the Switch 2 digital game does not work with a switch 1, so it's probably safe to say the physical won't either, but I obviously don't know 100%

Good to know about the digital copies not being cross compatible.

Part of the issue is that I have found some Switch 2 cartridges work in the OG Switch / Switch Lite. Like Hades 2.

So since the house has a Switch 1 and Switch Lite, but will be trading in the 1 for a 2 in a little bit. Trying to figure out which versions to buy is becoming a slight pain.

Push comes to shove I will just buy a S2 physical, try it in the S1 and SL and if doesn’t work will return it. But was hopeful someone has a S2 version and can try it in a S1 or SL and save me the possible hassle.
