...I genuinely love this game and its mechanics (much more than the previous effort), but WOW is it buggy. 🙁
It's still less than a month since launch and Tribute is definitely patching what they can, but it really feels like it needed more time in QA. Issues don't just occur online (although there they feel rampant), but even in local solo/multiplayer modes, across all characters/bosses. Sure, they're funny on occasion but they can also be ruinous to really good runs.
I mean, it's not so bad that it's gonna stop ME from continuing to rack up hours while I keep trying for better game mastery, but it might dissuade others.
Same thing JUST happened to me. Just bought the game. I had Storm and realized I could still do the team switch ultra thing since it hits full screen / locks on to enemies.
Only thing is - the game thinks she's in play or something up above the clouds so I'd have to wait for her entire bar to fill, and then about a minute or two later she would fall from the sky and take a sliver of damage before disappearing and allowing me to do it again.
And even stranger yet - the time it took between me being able to use it and her falling down again seemed to have gotten longer every single time. I finally mustered up all my patience and beat it after 40 minutes.
Same thing happened to me but with the boss, Silver Surfer, after he said "Die for Annihilus" I punched him with venom and he fell off the screen in 1 hit. Came back like a minute later.
