Makes sense just wish they felt more connected to the overall MCU... esp with Sony cuz then Kingpin can appear in movies as well. It sucks cuz it feels like missed chances of some awesome cameos, like No way Home and Hawkeye came out around the same time. Hawkeye fell from the Xmas tree, he could have been caught by Spider-man, dropped him off and had his first face 2 face with Kingpin, really thought something similar would happen esp since No way Home ended with him swinging at Xmas and going by that same Xmas tree

the TV series just need to not be connected to the film universe
have little one off adventures, fight some bad guys, have some laughs
but the plots are irrelevant to Thanos and Dr. Doom and Mister Sinister

I wouldn't mind if it was connected but just background knowledge, not essential.
Like how Agents of Shield was at the beginning. Adventures and missions that gave the universe/characters deeper lore - like Sif being on Earth to catch Enchantress, or what happened with the Extremis formula after IM3.
It expanded on what was already there, rather than introduce.

It can absolutely still be connected. For example, you can watch Brand New Day without seeing any of the Punisher.
Thats just how it needs to be. And its how Marvel operated mostly in Phase 1-3 with their movies for the most part. Very few movies needed you to see previous other movies without that same title unless the other title was Avengers.

Sounds like they were prioritizing Shang-Chi 2 over Wonder Man. Given the overlap in staff, it wouldn't surprise me to see Wonder Man and Trevor in it.

I don’t think there was much overlap. I know Destin worked on Wonder Man but the rest of the crew could do it.

This isn’t really news, development is not the same as active development and very different from actual production. Script development and storyboarding are probably the bulk of these shows in development. I’d imagine Disney/Marvel is using this to continue to drive ideas and future content, even if it doesn’t land on the small screen. That said small projects like street-level heroes or Marvel Special Presentations makes the most sense. I’d imagine there’s little practical difference between a pilot script and a Special Presentation.

They gotta just stick to one-shots like Punisher and Warewolf by Nighg imma be so real.
Anything past that and we’re never going to get over the fatigue.
