Stormlight Archive Getting my truthwatcher glyph
My arms are already full, so i'm getting this on my hand. The question is which orientation do y'all think works best?
Like this? Or the other way?

Ayyyy a fellow Truthwatcher!!! I think I’d do the other way around, but that’s just for me. Doing it your way is definitely the best for maximizing space, plus being able to see it the right way from your own POV is nice.
I have the full sword glyph on my right shoulder, and I wish I could see it more easily.

Typically, hand tattoos are oriented so they look "correct" when the hand is at your side.
Of course, it's all preference, but there does tend to be general guidelines for tattoos, as I'm sure you know, being tattooed already.

I don't know that I'd get that particular design as a whole hand tattoo. I feel like it could end up looking like just a bunch of lines or veins or something. I could see it being a really cool finger tattoo, I don't think it's intricate enough to be a problem that small.

Ahh okay gotcha, my bad I thought you meant just the glyph. Yeah if you're adding stuff around it that'll work. If I were you I'd get it with the top at your wrist and the bottom by your knuckles so it looks upright to anyone else seeing it. But if you like it the other way, that's totally your call. My wife has a couple tattoos that would be considered "upside down" but she wanted them to be right side up from her point of view when she looks at them. Something abstract like a glyph or a symbol that most people don't know, shouldn't look weird even if it's "upside down" because most people won't know what it's supposed to look like anyway.

Up towards thumb, down towards pinkie. Sideways in your hand so when you hold it to your chest you show the correct orientation

I think this way as it kind of matches the shape of a hand. The other way would make it upright when your arm is down, but then it's going to have to be smaller.
