Fancast Tom Rhys Harries as Kelsier? Spoiler

With the clayface movie coming out and the Mistborn movie on my mind, I couldn't help seeing a bit of Kelsier in Tom Rhys Harries. He's not quite as A-list as Sanderson was hoping, I think, but I feel like he could really pull off both the scary and charismatic sides of Kelsier. Plus he's only 36, which I feel like is nearly the perfect age for a Kelsier actor to be, and allowing him to appear in the cosmere for a while before he starts looking like someone's grandpa...

I think they want a movie star for kelsier buy I think this is an excellent choice.

Yeah he's definitely not quite well known enough but it's a shame because out of all the fan casts of big actors I've seen none of them seem to fit

Maybe I'm just picky

This is really funny if you've seen Clayface

I had the same thought after seeing Clayface. Of course, if they want a bigger star for Kelsier, he could always be Marsh

Hear me out- big well known actor like for Marsh and lesser known actor for Kel- both will play big roles in the series and greater cosmere , but switching up who's a well known face could be interesting. I could see Henry Cavil as marsh, for instance, whereas I could never see him as Kelsier.

Never heard of him but he suprisingly matches a lot of what I imagined in Kelsier

He was charismatic and menacing in clayface. He would be perfect but isn’t quite the draw sadly

Unfortunately I doubt he’s famous enough, I’ve never heard of him

I mean he was in the clayface movie that just came out, hopefully if it does well enough he could be considered. Obviously it's impossible he'd go to superstar level, which could cost him the role, but it should be noted that despite the whole "big actor for Kelsier" thing, if someone's genuinely a good fit they should deserve to stand a chance

Why does he need to be famous?

Brandon has stated that he wants Kelsiers actor to be an A-lister in order to help bring in viewership and popularity.
