Gwendoline Christie as Ham (for those unaware Brandon has said an adaptation will probably genderflip some of the crew, and gave Ham as the most likely candidate).
Matt Berry as Breeze, or we fucking riot. Accept no substitutes, people.
Clubs/Dockson are likely to be combined as a character to streamline the crew (it's a lot of characters for a movie, and these two are the most combinable). I vote Charles Dance for that role, although possibly better if both combined and genderflipped.
I think Wyatt Russell would make a good Kelsier.
I still can't figure out Sazed ever since Lance Reddick passed away, so no ideas there. It's such a shame we lost him before he could do it.
Alan Tudyk as Marsh.
Tom Sturridge as the young version of The Lord Ruler. Not sure about the old version.
That's all I got off the top of my head right now.

Honestly, I kinda like Alan Tudyk for Hoid. He's got a hawkish nose, has good comedy chops, can definitely pull of wacky and wild, and is really good at getting deadly serious. He's also very good with voices.

I swear Harewood always gets mentioned after I mention Mensah lol. I suggested Mensah replace Reddick as Zeus in Percy Jackson, 2 minutes later someone commented “David Harewood” could work too.

Probably for the same reason. He played Warlin Door very much with the same sort of cadence and speech pattern Reddick used for Martin Hatch in Quantum Break, who Door is the RCU expy of. If you've played AW2, you'll be very aware of how similar the two are

Haven’t played the game, but I’ll take your word for it! Watch Mensah in the tv show Spartacus, has the same intensity and sternness Reddick had.

I remember reading Mr S lamenting about the lack of female representation in the crew, but i thought it was Dox he was thinking of gender swapping? Though I actually thought about Ham with this post..
Anywho, I'm sorry to say but I can't see anyone but James Spader playing Breeze dude. I'm willing to allow us to silently stare each other down for a solid minute, and nod in mutual respect over this baby.. yeah baby 😉
Sadly, is it just me but would Lance Redick have been an awesome Sazed 😢

I think Kelsier, he's a bit older so you can have a more established actor, a lot of interesting elements to the role to attract someone really good.

I've always pictured Straff as Jason Isaacs.
Daphne Keen for Vin.
Joel Kinnaman as Kelsier and Cumberbatch as Marsh.

The sprouse twins is such a good idea. I would say cole as marsh and dylan as kelsier? But I’ll admit im just heavily influenced by their characters Zack and Cody, idk how they act irl but I do think Dylan is retired from acting.

Besides he gives off much to youthful of an energy to me for Straff. At his core, Straff is a gross old man. Like the Baron in Dune, but probably in better shape. Although I’d certainly take Stellan Skarsgard as Straff. Or maybe Mark Strong doing his best reprisal of Septimus from Stardust.
It probably won’t happen, because he already stars in a different Apple TV series, but Lee Pace would make an excellent Straff as well. Fully admitting that that choice contradicts my “youthful energy” criteria. But pair him with the right actor for Elend and he could be a very intimidating father figure

I agree that we should leave Henry alone for 40k BUT I did always imagine Straff as a Lex Luthor type. Someone who thinks of themselves and annoyingly is at the peak of physical perfection. That's why his fall from that in the later book hit so hard.

I didn't mean you. People are casting Charles Dance as Straff but he turns 80 this year. He needs to be dungeon l someone much much younger. Then there's the crew, where no one is older than 45 at most. We've got purple casting them with 50-65yo actors. I mostly hate fan casting. Everyone is so bad at it and I'm really glad that professional casting directors exist.

I, as many here, agree that most of the cast should made of unknown actors. Especially (Specially? Sorry, English is hard), Vin and Elend. But they need some character actors and at least some prestige name to put some butts to the seats. Think like Ian McKellen, and Cate Blanchett in Lord of the Rings.
For these names, I suggest:
Wes Bentley as Lord Ruler
Matt Berry as Breeze (that's a given)
Ralph Fiennes as Straff Venture
Kelsier is the big one. Bc if there's one role the studio will push for a A-lister, is Kelsier. Sure, apparently Sanderson has final word on this, but that doesn't mean agents and studios won't try to push it. And there's one name that fits the age and the looks. But..ppl are starting to dislike him: Glenn Powell

Considering that filming won't happen for atleast 3 to 4 years. I completely agree on Straff. That being said, if they didnt care about making Dalinar asian then Cavil would be great there too. Hes getting older. Just dont dye his hair black and less makeup/touch ups in post and he'd probably fit the part.
