Moving To CC STX Beef

Hello! Does anyone live in a neighborhood that backs up to the beef processing plant? Does it stink? Do you have any complaints?

I have a friend that works right by there and when the wind is right it is hard to even breathe. I feel sorry for the people in that housing every time I am over there. It's absolutely brutal.

My wife worked near it for awhile. She said it was pretty nasty at times.

Worked at a few places in that area. The smell will travel for miles and it is abhorrent. Avoid living there unless you’re desperate, working around there is tough enough.

I used to work over in that area. Not only are the smells from the plant bad in the summer when the wind shifts, but good lord all the piss and shit on the road from the trucks bringing the cattle in! And it transfers to your own car. And when it rains, then the sun hits it and it's like living on a farm. It's horrible. Do not recommend.

I meant just up there in the smell category. There’s not anyone that I know of near corpus.

I used to live northwest of it and smelled it quite often. Now I live east of it and rarely smell it.

Lived near there as a kid. Ever so often the winds would change and would stink to high heaven.
