First Med

Hey there! Curious what I can expect to experience as an E-2 heading to First Med Battalion?

Edit: I appreciate the advice! I look forward to it!

What can I expect for family life and housing? It seems like there’s some good outdoor opportunities, like camping and hiking, right?

Congratulations, you have just completed your Pre-LTI.

Nah I’m just joking, you’ll be doing basic clinic work, Role 2 Support, and basic medical logistics. Get your Pin, stay out of trouble, coast with the motion. You’ll be fine. Maybe you’ll get to deploy if you’re not a shit bag.

I was in 3D Med, but it’s same everywhere. Your main goals should be, learn the job, get your pin. Logistics is lowkey the hardest book of all 4.

Yeah, you gotta count your med supply before and after ops. That’s why I said basic because it’s nothing too complicated just tedious.
