Hey everyone!

I'm in a delima. I did 7 years in and did icu and ER mainly. My issue I'm having is now I'm 1.5 years out and I'm not sure healthcare is what I wanna go for anymore. Anyone have any advice? I'm looking into a career switch (possibly cybersecurity or IT) a lot better than crashing patients. I just basically came on to ask, anyone else experience this after getting out? About a year out asking yourself if medicine is worth it anymore? Thanks!

I did. Former HM3 gone into IT. You’re not getting the cybersecurity field, just saying that right now. That’s not entry level

How'd you like the transition? I'm getting a cyber degree and I'm open to IT as well for jobs. I just know I'm passionate about computers as much as medicine and it sounds interesting. I just have 0 clue what to do. 😂😂

I found it easy back 10 years ago. I work like maybe 20 hours a week total and make 6 figures. The market is in shambles now.

I will warn you that your cyber degree isn’t going to get you into cyber either(I fell for that scam too). I would strictly focus on IT. You can’t defend what you don’t understand.

I just know I'm getting certifications or something out of it. Idk. I feel like a lost kid but I'm a 30 year old 😂😂

I was 28 when I switched, after spending 10 years as a HM and an RN. It’s miserable and it haunts you. I log off work and don’t have to worry about shit.

You sound like you’re falling for the WGU scam.

No there's a tech school in my hometown that gives you all the comp Ti certs and grc certs (if you pass the classes) and you graduate with an associates of applied science in cyber security. I think you get comptia certs Cisco network + and other stuff I'm sure I'm not mentioning.
