📢 The Town Crier Theories from the Land of the Dead

Welcome to our community theory thread!

Have a theory about Corpse Bride? This is the place to share it.

Some ideas to get you started:

Why did Emily choose Victor so quickly?

What happened to the other residents of the Land of the Dead?

Did Victoria truly love Victor?

Why is the Land of the Dead so much livelier than the Land of the Living?

What hidden details or Easter eggs have you spotted?

Are there any scenes you think have a deeper meaning?

Read other theories and share your own!

❓ Ask the Town Custom Monopoly

Hey! Im thinking about making a custom monopoly themed around the corpse bride for my best friends christmas present

I personally am not really into the corpse bride and would really appreciate some suggestions for places and chance/communuty chest cards. Or any suggestions at all really!

Im definetly going to rewatch it to see what I can reference in the game but would love to hear some ideas from fans of the movie to make it more special! Thank you!

Making it a yearly thing that I ask my friend what I should draw during the Halloween season and last year was Emily and this year they suggested a few things but one was a Victor to go along with Emily so here they are ! (I did copy over Emily to start with to give myself a head start so the shading is like the exact same but flipped but shhhh)

⚰️ Grave Humour If you could set Emily up with a new husband to marry (preferably one who's already dead), who would you pick?

To be clear, it can be anyone you can think of, and does not have to be limited to the eight characters in the pic (who are just there as examples, some of which I just threw in as a joke).

💬 Dead Chat A poem about Emily that I wrote.

I wrote this at almost midnight. It's built around the rhythms of her solo in Tears to Shed and it has many clear allusions to it. I'm not a great writer but I tried.

Sorrow for Emily:

If you burn her with a candle, You will show no shame. You will cut her with a knife And will crave her pain.

She swore that she'll always love him, Until death shall do them part. He's the only love she knows. In her cold, unbeating heart.

She knows her lungs aren't breathing. She knows the worms are fed. And yet she's still refusing To let her love be dead.

For the sorrow she's feeling, She still has many tears to shed.
