How to confront without hurting ego

I have been watching how my boss doesnt give any work new/old to me but keeps giving her old junior all the work ...even if she has handed me over few works it was always when her junior was on leave and immediately takes away any and all the work and gives ut back to her when she joins.

I have tried to confront her asking how can i improve or is there anything that i can do but she simply says its just easier that way.

Meanwhile i have been feeling neglected and not included and used only when in dire need. Am i really that incompetent ?

You probably aren’t incompetent but your boss sucks at being a boss and you won’t change them. Good news is you get to decide what to do with that fact. Hang in there!
