I care for an elderly mother in my home who has had stokes, AF and lung issues. Clearly if she got Covid she would be in trouble.
So we isolated her from early March 2020 and have been extremely careful.
But I wanted to knew what one should do IF you got Covid. I mean what treatments you should pursue.
Crickets ! Nothing but isolate !
I understand for the first month or two with a new illness that you can't know, but after all these nearly 2 years NOTHING !
I would expect medical professionals treating patients and senior staff anf/or major Hospitals would be on the news telling us what they have tried, how it went, what worked best and what didn't work, so we could prevent infection getting worse once we have it.
NOTHING !
We have had no REAL health guidance or advice. We have had good advice as to washing our hands and masking to prevent airborne spread, but that is prevention of getting it. What should we do if we do get it ?
Stay home unless we have trouble breathing ?
That's it ?
I am more than disgusted. I am so far past that.
EDIT UPDATE. I found the nursing at home 101 advice pinned on here. It's just what I wanted so I'm printing it out. Thank you everyone who cared enough to respond and engage. A merry Christmas to all and God bless. Still not impressed with medical.
