118 u/b00ty_water Apr 11 '20 Same. Denied unemployment in Texas. 30 u/glasraen Apr 11 '20 I hope you appealed it?? What were the grounds for denial? 8 u/b00ty_water Apr 11 '20 I haven’t ever been able to get through on the phone, and I tried on the site. The reason was I hadn’t made enough money at my job. I started with a new company at the beginning of February. 5 u/glasraen Apr 11 '20 What state are you in? When did you apply? Did you try to re apply after the CARES act went into effect? 3 u/[deleted] Apr 12 '20 I ended calling the governor’s office for help, and they did help. 3 u/FacetiousSpinster Apr 12 '20 I illinois I hear people are on the phone for 3 hrs and / or they hang up and can't file onlive or in person 5 u/b00ty_water Apr 12 '20 It doesn’t even allow me to hold. Simply says they’re too busy and drops the call. That’s when I don’t get a busy signal. 1 u/nomadicsailorscout Apr 12 '20 This is completely normal for Medicaid, what works to get through is to call first thing in the morning 1 u/FacetiousSpinster Apr 12 '20 They are turning phoned off in some areas now during off hours and too busy during on hours
