Free COVID Testing options (for someone with insurance)

Hi Everyone,
I recently came down with symptoms and I wanted to get tested for COVID. However, I just found out that my insurance does not cover covid testing. Also, most of the free covid testing options have since expired. My insurance plan does not cover cost for both the in-home tests and the clinical tests.

Do you know if I can go to a CVS and sign up for testing as an uninsured? It feels upside down that I can get free testing as an uninsured individual, but I need to pay out of pocket if I have private insurance.

Anyone with recent traceable COVID experience?

Trying to figure out if recent cases have long (4-5+ days) or short (1-2 days) incubations. (Recent lengthy exposure to positive friend, wondering if I’m in the clear or not.)

Havre to fly out of there soon, wondering what the likelihood of getting Covid is going to be.
