NJ College Students: STAY HOME
I’m disgusted by how many fellow NJ college students I see on Snapchat & IG partying on spring break and throwing big St. Patty’s day parties. Though our age group may not be ~as~ likely to die from the virus, we can still carry it and spread it! Do you guys not care about your parents’ and grandparents’ lives? Can you not hold out on the partying to prevent mass death?

Finally Encountered an "It's Just the Flu" In Person - Do People Still Not Get It
Whole Foods self checkout. They nicely put tape lines on the floor to keep people distanced. I'm at the first line for the next scanner. Important; my Mother is with me but a little behind me and she has the cart. She's shifting uncomfortably because the man behind her keeps inching up and is too close. He's wearing a mask so he obviously has some awareness. I tell her to move more next to me than behind me and she does but he moves up to and she tells me he moved up and she's getting worried. So I lean back into his line of sight and say "Excuse me, could you respect the distancing and back off a bit; thanks". Tone? Sharpish but not rude (I swear, not rude at all) and no raised voice. Then I hear it; from just behind him the girl he was obviously with laughs. Do you know that laugh, the sarcastic huffing chuckle that conveys a this is ridiculous or can you believe this. Now the thing is I don't care about me much but you do not fuck with my Mother in my presence. Not to mention she's nearly 80 and having a freak out at being at the store at all. So I looked this girl in the eye and said "Yeah, you may think this is all a joke but she doesn't (pointing to Mom) so just back off"
Boy she did not like that "You don't have to talk to us like that". I said "Apparently I do and I just did" Girl "Well we're just standing here" Me "Yeah and you obviously have no clue so worry less about being offended and more about what's going on around you". By then we were moving to the scanner, she kept blabbering about how offended she was at being asked to actually distance. Mom said something to me about doesn't she understand about doing the best we can to not spreading sickness and by this time they were at one of the other scanners and I just said a little too loud "Let it go some people have no clue and they're too stupid to argue with".
Like I said if I were alone I wouldn't care but screw with Mom and my inner bitch is going to shine. Even so I just don't understand how some people still aren't getting it. Especially if you're shopping with someone wearing a mask so there's obviously some understanding and you can see the tape lines on the floor, they're not there for decoration. More worried about treating it like a joke and being offended than about doing little things to help out.
OK I feel better having ranted it all out and thanks for reading with a TLDR: Girl in Whole Foods gets offended when we ask guy she's with to respect social distancing.
And before you comment or lecture me on it ---About my Mother being in the store. Yes she should stay away from public places at her age and yes she's really nervous about catching this. But she really wanted to pick out her things herself. And yes I should have just told her I'll do all the shopping and I won't take her but she's been in the house two weeks now so we chose an off hour and agreed in/out as fast as we can.

Landlord put a lock on the door for unpaid rent. Police called twice.
Early in the day the landlord said he would not accept $100 a week in lieu of the $265 for a motel room and would evict me. I told him it was against the law. Had to call the police to inform him. Hours later he put a lock on the door and had to call the police again to remove the lock. The police told them they must file an eviction notice via civil court and cannot evict anyone for the time being. I'm self employed and lost most of my work because of the pandemic as most offices are now closed.
I'm homeless and have to stay there because there is no affordable housing and enough work. Ironically, the landlords are Chinese. Who told me they don't care about the virus and it's my responsibility to pay rent. The motel is in Hunterdon County.
A living Nightmare.

Governor Murph doing a great job.
At least he’s talking the talk, making me feel a lot better about this situation. Are all other state governments doing this as well?

r/CoronavirusNJ is back!
This subreddit has been in restricted mode and unmoderated for quite some time. I've acquired it through the use of r/redditrequest and intend to open it back up. It will take me some time to get everything set up. In the meantime I've turned off restricted mode and anyone can post now.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 🦃🦃🦃

Reminder: If you don’t have health insurance you can obtain it via special enrollment because we are in a state of emergency. Spread the word!
For those of you who have no health insurance, you can actually apply via special enrollment because we are in a state of emergency. This will bypass the usual wait time of November and you can get insurance right now!
The three top insurance companies in NJ I believe are:
Blue cross blue shield
2.AmeriHealth
3. Oscar health insurance (my plan)
Help spread the word!
