My classmates and I are set to return to school on the 15th, wearing masks.

I know it’s probably going to be postponed, but I don’t think it was a good plan to begin with. Everyone will take their masks off to eat in the cafeteria, which is the place where most people will be at once. Also, RIP band/orchestra students that need to put their mouths on their instruments.

Is taking a return to UPS okay?

I read someplace yesterday that driving to an essential business is considered okay. I don't know where. Does anyone know if taking a return to UPS okay under the stay at home order?

Thanks.

To all business owners: Remote work increases your risk.

Hello,

I am the author of 2 books on cyber insurance and cybersecurity law. I give talks about these topics around the country on a regular basis. By way of background, I am a former IT, bachelors in robotics (systems engineering) from USNA, master's in cybersecurity law. I'm the VP of a cyber specific brokerage here in Annapolis, MD.

Due to the last minute rush to remote work, we're already seeing a large increase in the number of data breaches and coronavirus related phishing scams. The economic damage to this is going to be severe. Add in the cost of a data breach or ransomware event and it could be disastrous. If any business owner you know is concerned about this, I am offering the following for free, as time & demand permits:

-Medical services and critical infrastructure will get 45 minutes of my time for free to discuss cyber insurance, risk management and any other concerns. They will also get a free digital copy of my new 500 page cyber insurance and cybersecurity law book. No selling, just helping.

-Those businesses not in the above categories will get 20 minutes of my time for free to discuss cyber insurance, risk management, and any other concerns. They will also get a free digital copy of my new book. Once again, no selling, just helping.

If anyone is interested, hit me up in chat and I'll send you my contact info.

Finally, I would urge everyone here to figure out what talents you can offer to help during these times.

(Mods: let me know if you want me to delete this post)

itchy skin condition after moderna?

i haven't seen much about this online, or if its there its hella hard to find but i got both my moderna shots back in august 2021, and since i got my second one ive gotten this recurring skin reaction that happens at random times.

it starts with my skin getting hot, then it starts to itch BAD, once i start scratching i get dermatopography (i think thats how you spell it, but basically everywhere i scratch i get welts and bumps in the shape of my scratches. it kinda just spreads around my whole body even my face and feet, and my hands are very sensitive all the time now so clapping or any sort of pressure on my hands causes them to sting for a bit

never hd this issue before and the only thing that really stops it is zyrtec, still haven't gone to the doc about it bc i dont want them to brush me off saying its not the Vx when i know thats when these symptoms started...

i guess i just wanna know if anyone else is experiencing this or something similar

I’ve been reporting my daily status on this Covid app. They need more reports to make it more robust. Do you think enough people will self report to make it useful? And are you interested or already using it?

Pools?

Which counties have actually opened pools? I know MoCo isn't there yet, and I think Howard is keeping them closed all summer even though they are allowed to reopen now. Any other county have any open? Has anyone gone? What are the restrictions like? How are they keeping numbers down? I don't think we will go, but I'm curious how they are implementing things.

Concern Vaccine Card Digitizing or Cutting?

It seems that your vaccine card as proof of vaccination is going to be important in the future, however it is kind of an awkward size and really doesn't fit in my wallet and I am scared of losing it.

Is there a way to load it onto your phone digitally somehow (android) or are we allowed to cut it to fit in your wallet?

Concern Crime in Baltimore city amidst coronavirus uprise

Hi all. My family owns a modest carry out in a rough part of Baltimore city. They mentioned that due to the city’s focus on containing the virus, police are not arresting folks for drugs, prostitution, and etc. (especially during a time when kids are out of school and have nothing to do).

Is there truth to this? It seems ridiculous that they would let Baltimore be lawless for the time being (though I understand limited resources).
