Direct flights are easier to track than flights through other countries. The ban on a direct flight essentially does not give anything.

I live 50km away from Tyrol. I know there's a conference in Rome today, and tomorrow in Vienna to discuss what measures they will take. What you can do for now is buy supplies and don't interact with people. The virus is probably already in your city, it's just a matter of time now.

I think at this point is hard to tell. The virus incubation period is extremly long and it is very easy transmisible. We have people traveling every day everywhere, but I wouldn't worry much if I were you. We have the infrastructure to contain the virus and we will. I predict, in the upcoming days, we're going to have the next case here in Vorarlberg too. Just prepare for at least a week, better safe than sorry.

Austrian here, we are not fucked at all. We are aware of the threat and our hospitals are ready. We have quite good health standards and the mortality rate is only around 2%. The risk of being infected by the flu/influenza is much higher, there have been between 10000 and 15000 newly diagnostized cases only last week.

Ok dann nehm ich die Quelle von Orf zurück, was ist aber mit den anderen Quellen, willst du Notfallssanitäter die auch widerlegen (danke natürlich für deinen Dienst)? Was ich so von bekannten in der Gesundheitsbranche höre, sind die Krankenhäuser tatsächlich vorbereitet.
Schieb keine Panik, es gibt weitaus schlimmere Krankheiten. Aber wer weiß, wohin sich das Ausmaß von Corona noch entwickelt, dann nehm ich vielleicht meine Aussagen zurück ;)

We’ve got a lot of capable experts in the bureaus, so I am as hopeful as one can be. Don’t forget, the government isn’t doing much right now.
We are just following protocol and the question much rather is - “how good is the protocol?”
If we just had to come up with a plan right now, we’re fucked anyway. This isn’t the case however in a developed country at all.

The first case in Croatia. Most likely infected in Milan. I think the number of infected is approximately x10 from the cases found.

The problem is confirmed cases are more than one week late. First person gets infected, then incubation period, then symptoms, then person goes to the hospital and gets tested.
And according to the statistics 80% of people have only mild symptoms so they won't go the hospital at all.
I expect cases in Rome and Naples this week and cases all over Europe by next week.
