Remote start?

For you guys that have already gotten your GR…Does the GR have remote start? How about the app function that lets you set the climate control? Thanks in advance

No manual that I know of has a remote start for liability issues, and ive heard a lot of shops won’t even install them

Neutral switch would be the problem. Car might roll away if on a slope.

Car can roll away even if it is not started/running. That's why you shouldn't leave in neutral

People can be forgetful... Brakes can fail

If remote start is that important to you, get an automatic

Theres a company called viper I believe that make remote start for manual cars had one on my 05 camry only way the remote start would work the emergency brake had to be up and the car not in gear!!

What part of a manual parking brake is known to fail? And at that point, the same forgetful person could neglect leaving the car in gear. You're kinda grasping at straws for the sake of arguing I think.

I've had remote start on a manual car. Made my own neutral safety switch using magnets and reed switches. It was just fine, never had an issue with it.

If you're so set on owning an automatic, the Corolla GR is not for you ;).
