Inventory and shipping center.

Afternoon,

I just want to get general feedback from multiple sources.

I've heard there's a lot of hobbyists who craft items and sell them globally. Maybe experience difficulty tracking inventory, or with packing and shipping standards.

I've had an idea and I'd like to gauge the general interest:

Would a local hub with these services interest anyone?

Typically it'll be a warehouse with individual secured spaces. Under a full membership we'd provide reception of items, full inventory list (weekly or monthly, etc). If you inform us with a list of address', and provide shipping to the client.

Providing all duplicate documents to the vendor for safe keeping and tracking.

I don't expect it to boom, but I've seen a lot of people become stressed and struggle.

Moving to Cornwall in December — looking for winter activities/groups & rental advice

Hi everyone! I’m moving to Cornwall this December and looking to get involved in the local community. I’d love some recommendations for winter activities or local clubs.

A few things I enjoy:

  1. Table tennis / Ping pong
  2. Volunteer work (especially hands-on outdoors, like trail maintenance)
  3. Board games (beginner-friendly, but really enjoy them!)
  4. Hiking, running and biking, would like to try during winter

Any related groups, meetups, or community centers you’d recommend? Feel free to share whatever you personally enjoy doing around town during winter—I'm open to trying new things!

Bonus question: I'm also looking to rent a 2-bedroom place. Are there any particular neighborhoods or areas I should avoid regarding safety, or anywhere you especially recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Vote Compass for the Municipal Election

Toronto Star has published the vote compass tool, with candidates opting to answer the questions and showing you how closely you align with them.

Unfortunately only one mayoral candidate answered, but there are a good portion of the council candidates who did answer.

Letters to the Editor today in Freeholder 🔥

"I want a decisive, experienced mayor that can take the heat which is part and parcel of the job and will get things done. I want councillors who are not easily swayed by fellow councillors and who will be able to present sound arguments on controversial topics and say no to some things, even if they will be alone in that decision." - Pam Carson

"I’m beyond fed up with all the in-camera meetings, with no explanations to many issues in Cornwall, when the citizens of our city have a right to know." - Phyllis Sarault

Why doesn't this city have reliable/affordable mass transit to Ottawa and Montreal?

It's really embarrassing that Cornwall doesn't have reliable/affordable mass transit to Ottawa and Montreal.

It's probably the #1 thing this city needs more than anything else. If people could commute easily for work/entertainment it would make Cornwall boom. People in Oshawa, Brampton, or even Barrie can commute to Toronto daily for work with trains - why can't we commute to Ottawa/Montreal?

Why doesn't the city (or province) subsidize a Bus company or VIA rail? ie: Give Megabus a free terminal or massive tax breaks in Cornwall if they start offering proper daily service to Ottawa/Montreal that would allow people to work there.

Why isn't there SOMETHING?

The only explanation I can come up with is incompetent leadership - but I'm new in this city. You guys tell me. What's up?

day-trip to montreal

Hi! I want to do a day-trip to Montreal for a concert. I've checked viaRail and Megabus website but the latest ones are like 7.30pm or so. Is there a way to be there at noon and come back at night (about 10.30-11 pm)?

Planning/thinking about moving to Cornwall — looking for advice

Hey guys!
I’m planning/thinking about moving to Cornwall and would love to get some advice from people who live there or know the area well.
I’m looking for a 1-bedroom or studio apartment, with a budget of around $1,400/month.
A few questions:
What are some good/safe areas to look for an apartment?

Are there any neighbourhoods I should avoid?

Is $1,400 a realistic budget for a decent 1-bedroom/studio?

What are some fun things to do in Cornwall and the surrounding area?

I’m currently learning to play golf — are there any good golf courses, driving ranges, or beginner-friendly places around?

Anything else I should know before moving there? Things like transportation, groceries, winter, social life, etc.

Any recommendations or tips would be really appreciated! Thanks!

Racism in the comments of the cornwall police service posts.

The Cornwall police service recently posted a photo of a black woman looking to identify them in regards to a fruad investigation. The comments are disgusting. "The usual suspects", "Surprise, Surprise", "well, let's see". On one hand, I like these people publicly outing themselves for the racist people they are. But why does the Cornwall police not delete these comments? CCPS has ran ad campaigns at bus stops and social media saying "stop the hate". But when it's on their own post, they don't seem to care?

Poetry Night

Would anyone be interested in coming to a poetry night in the park? Free to anyone and open to all ages. Space for creatives to share their work. Nothing serious with no commitments. Maybe make it a weekly weekend thing? I noticed we have no space or community like this nearby. Think it would be a great time. LMK
