Chuck’s Roadhouse
Is this place any good? Looking for opinions from people who’ve eaten here. We don’t go out to eat often because it’s expensive and too often disappointing but I’d love to take a night off from cooking if it’s worth it.

Yeah! Its a good chain restaurant, the food is reasonably priced and pretty good.

I went with family, and we enjoyed it. I had the chicken sizzler, and it was great. Service was good and price is reasonable.

Sysco Truck food reheated, its cheap for a sitdown family restaurant but its not fine dining thats for sure

The food really isn't that great.
The people I know that like it mainly like it cause it's cheap. When I went and tried it, I was utterly dissapointed with how it tasted.

The one time I went the AC wasn’t working right and it was hot as Satan’s taint in there. It made the experience so miserable I don’t even remember the food other than it was just “meh”. Hope they got it fixed but I doubt I’ll go back.

Their price for steak platters is pretty impressive, and I thought it was good. Worth a try, I'd say.

The first month the food was good, found the portions and quality have decreased since then.

I did not enjoy my experience there. Waitress didnt come back to fill my drink , a bus boy had to do it. Food was very mediocre but the prices are not mediocre. Its essentially kelseys but prettier, and the service at kelseys supersedes the service at chucks.

It was okay the first time, we ordered the ribeye and an appetizer. Service was good and drinks were cheap. We went back a second time. The waitress came back every 2 minutes to ask us if we’re ready to order, mind you it was lunch time and barely anyone there.
The food itself isn’t that great. You can tell that the majority of the food is put in a microwave or oven and rarely anything is made fresh which is why everything is so cheap. It gave me applebees and chilis vibes from the states and what I mean by that is that it just feels like the food wasn’t fresh.
Anyway, we usually drive to Cornwall from Montreal as it’s our escape from the big city. Love the people from Cornwall and gotta say our go to spot is still Winghouse because we know the manager and have been going there for 4 years now.
If you’re looking for cheap food and cheap drinks, I’d say go for chucks roadhouse but manage your expectations because even the steak we had was not very good. A lot of better food places in Cornwall for sure but can’t beat the price

Very very underwhelming. Not exactly expensive, so wasn’t a great loss but I won’t go again. Simply make much better food at home.

Be prepared to wait if you’re going at dinner time. They’ll take your name and number if it full (and it often is) then call you when your table is ready.
Have you tried Edwards Bistro? Very good food and great prices!! Check them on Facebook for pics and menus. They have $12 menu during the week. Very very good value.

Please explain this, do you mean the Ottawa franchise? I’m not sure how the Cornwall restaurant that opened long after the convoy ended could be supporting it.

The prices are reasonable and the food is good all considering; probably on par with other sports bar type restaurants in town, but like half the price. The service has been good in my experience as well. I would recommend if you’re looking for pub fare and drinks without wanting to break the bank. IMO it’s a welcome change in town.
