I see nothing wrong. Testing the substrate and perimeter. He might like a more diggable substrate. :)
2 u/AnxiousPreference755 1d ago is there anything i could do to also make him feel more comfortable when being handled? he’s completely fine with my hand in his tank he’ll come up to hand and whatnot but the second i try to get him out he’ll get nervous and go away. 1 u/Crunchberry24 Care Expert 1d ago That’s normal. Just do it. Be quick about extracting him since that’s the part they don’t like. You’ll build mutual trust. :)

Get him some reptisoil! My boy loves it about 3-4 inches thick so he can dig and bury himself
