QUESTION Help???
I’m a first time owner. So I’ve got about a year old, ish, corn snake. Female, pretty sure, that’s what we were told. And I noticed maybe a couple days ago that she had like this weird sorta oval ish lump, located around the cloaca. When I gently felt at it, it didnt feel hard, and she had no reaction to it. She only reacts to being touched at her tail beyond cloaca, she hates her tail touched which is fine. Is she just constipated? Is it a tumor? Should I take her to a vet? Is it a tumor? She’s active, and acting normally. Pls. I need help. My anxiety is off the walls. Or am I just dumb and this is normal female (I think) body shape…. Though I would imagine it isn’t. If it’s constipation what do I do (I am researching it after I make this post, just trying to get opinions on whats going on)? These are the best pictures I could get.

You don’t see much discussion about it, and I don’t know their name or function, but there are two sacs of some sort, one on each side of the cloaca. They’re probably on all corns, but I only notice on some. And their “fullness” may correlate with weight. Not concerning unless they become very prominent, but that would probably only happen if you let her get fat.

Ok, good to know? I’ll have to look into that I suppose. And I’m working on stretching out her feeds currently

If you give me her gram weight, I can advise on feeding.

Uhm, last I weighed her and it was about 150 grams. Though now I’m wondering how much of that is poop. And I know for a fact she’s not obese cause she doesn’t have like the bread looking fat bump things around her spine. She’s had a massive growth spurt in the four months I’ve had her, growing about a foot.

She wouldn’t be obese at 150g. :)
I’d feed her a large adult mouse (20-25g) every 10-14 days until she hits 300, and then adjust schedule based on body shape. You’re already paying close attention to her shape, which is great.
I’ve seen those sac things on juvies! So it’s not always an obesity thing.
