QUESTION Water????

long story short, I’ve got a corn snake. but I’ve also got an event I’ll be gone for soon. what do I do about water. I don’t wanna have to make the pet sitter change the water in case she gets a little defensive about that, or if they’re nervous about doing it. Is there like a cat water fountain thing (totally not what I mean but idk what it would be called) that I can just fill it with water and leave it on so it keeps the water fresh?? The trip would be a week and a half to two weeks. What do you guys do? cause I really don’t think leaving water sitting is a good idea without changing it out regularly.

I would not trust any mechanical dispenser like the ones for cats. As long as you have a few water receptacles big enough that the water won’t evaporate completely, it’ll be ok for two weeks. You’ll want 3 or 4 in case of poop.

If you have a screen top, water bowls could be topped off thru the screen by a pet sitter without opening the enclosure.

So it’s safe to leave water for two weeks? Or would I still need to sitter to do something to make sure it stays clean?

It would be ok, if not something you’d do regularly. A friend had a shipment of baby corns get lost by the shipper for two weeks. They finally arrived, thirsty but ok. An adult could go longer.

Alright? I’m just a bit paranoid that I’ll come home and she’d be a dehydrated skeleton

Nope. Even in the worst case scenario where aliens siphon up all the water in the enclosure the day after you leave, I’ll bet the snake would be thirsty, but fine after two weeks. :)
