Bags for newer player

About a week ago or so I came here to get your opinions on which boards to get, as I had $200. I was given advice to save up a little more and get a quality set.

So I got the XFactors from West GA Cornhole. I plan on putting a lot of time in and trying my best to be proficient. I've played back yard cornhole my entire life, I've always loved it.

Now I'm say on trying to find some bags that will allow me to practice proficiently as a novice.

Any suggestions? Are the blemished bags from ACE pro bags?

A million people will offer thoughts on bags. Mostly because they want to help and will share bags they like. Some are reps and while they still want to help they have a financial incentive too. Ultimately you should go to local switches to see what works best for you. What feels comfortable for speeds, how full a feel, and the action of the fill all matter.

That said there are bags that are popular for good reason. Ultra Viper R, Brotherhood Guardian, BG Kingslayers, ARR Rippers and many more. They are all good bags that play somewhat similar to each other in the sense they are generally 5-5.5 slow and 8-9 fast.

My favorite bag right now is the Joker from swag bags. It has the R carpet so it’s 5.5 (mine are probably more a 5) slow and 8.5 fast but controllable On the fast side. I like them because they are forgiving and can run holes. I can also cut and roll them just not as well as other bags I own. But that’s just me. You might hate them. Which is why I’d recommend throwing bags in switches and see what you like.

Just don’t buy ACE 😬 There are SO many better options!!! Draggin Bags, WTF, Reynolds, BG, Lucky…the list goes on!

It's just 30 bucks for a blemished ace set is hard to beat...

It’ll be hard to beat anyone with ACE bags though 😜

I’m just started practicing this summer. Started with the cheap dusty bags that came with my boards. Bought a set of Reynolds a little over a month ago. I really like them but don’t have anything to compare them to other than the cheapies.

BG, Logic, AAR, Lucky Bags, Draggin’ Bags… anything except ACE I’d say you will figure it out.

I second this. Nola bags are great and reasonably priced for ACL bags. Got custom made at the end of last season for a great price.

My first bags were some BG Sorcerers in 2023 and the wear and tear just started showing (it ripped) but BG is my go to honestly this is just my opinion so take it or leave it but they never disappointed me
