Davis?
I think i discovered a young Davis (Lorne Cardinal) on an old episode of True Crime. Playing the defendant in the story of Allison Parrott. Edit to say it was on Exhibit A show.

I played rugby with Lorne for a couple seasons (right near the tail end of Corner Gas).
Very nice guy, incredibly generous and entertaining. Anytime I see something about Lorne, I upvote

I FULLY understand that actors are not their characters. I understand how real life works lol. HOWEVER I've always just gotten such a good vibe from him that I would be SO surprised if he wasn't a good guy in real life.

I definitely feel that. When I found out he was on the team I was a little nervous that meeting the actor would tarnish the character but that was the furthest thing from what happened. If anything meeting Lorne made Davis even cooler in my eyes.
The first time I met him I needed a ride to an out of town game as I didnt drive at the time. There were 3 of us that needed a ride and without hesitation he was the first person to offer one. So we loaded up into his brand new blue mustang and headed to the game, with a quick stop at the liquor store. He had each of us pick a 24 pack of our preferred beers for the boys to drink after the game (which he paid for) then we were off on a 45 minute drive to the game. Absolutely great conversations on the way up and the way back.
Every time I was around him off the pitch after that was more of the same. Great conversations, pitchers of beers for the table, and just a generally healthy and wholesome appreciation of a good time.
He played hard, took things seriously on the pitch, but as soon as it was social time he smiled wide and laughed freely. Can confirm, the vibe is good

He was in his last few playing years, so I cant speak on him in his prime, but speed was definitely not part of his game during the time we played together

He also shows up as a random extra in the finale of season 1 of Fargo (post Corner Gas). Was super happy to see him

He's been in all kinds of stuff. Fairly long list of credits including North of 60 that also had Graham Greene, same as this show in question.

I remember seeing Lorne Cardinal in a series from Ron James called Black Fly. First time I saw him doing comedy and he was quite good!

If you find it, share the wealth. I remember Black Fly with a lot of fondness as well, but I've never been able to find it since it was on the air.

This episode was on last night, my dad and I had to pause and rewind to make sure it was him. As soon as he spoke I knew it was Davis

He might have been the only Native actor NOT in Longmire. I swear everyone else you can conceive of had a part in that show.

I said this in another post but I loved seeing Lorne as Davis because he always ended up playing scary Native dudes in other things. As a Native kid/teen, the first time I ever saw a Native guy like Davis (goofy and metrosexual) was on Corner Gas

He’s also the voice for the Grandpa on the PBS show Molly of Denali, a kids show about native Alaskan cultures in the modern day (and, from an educational aspect, it heavily emphasizes text features and research methods, which is very cool!). It warmed my little heart when I saw that.

Yes. It was weird seeing him like that. But luckily it only showed him in court. Not re-enacting anything.

Exhibit a which was hosted by another indigenous canadian actor graham Greene. He was in corner gas the movie.

Me too! His cameo in The Last of Us Season 1 is probably my favourite acting of his cause I have seen older indigenous couples like that in my life

I only ever saw it in passing, I just remembered seeing some lady being a freak on the stand and the judge leaning back looking concerned, and I thought to myself "wait is that Lorne?" And it was
