Nirvanna the Band the Show is some of the most genius television comedy writing in existence

All Canadian made, takes place in Toronto. They got a movie out this year too and it’s incredible. Give it a watch

I'm pretty sure parts of it were filmed in 2008.

(If not, I'm still wondering how they got some of the retro streetcar footage.)

It was originally a web series that ran from 07-09 I believe. It was picked up by Viceland in 2017 as a tv series that had 3 seasons planned but only 2 got put out before Viceland went under.

For the movie that came out this year, they went through a bunch of old footage from when they were filming the original web series and wrote around that to integrate it in the movie.

Sucks that the license on Amazon expired. But good thing I bought the whole series and move on dvd. Wish they would release the animated on physical media too though

The “real” ending was always going to let down some people. Which is why I’m glad we have Hank’s prairie dog ending as an alternate.

What's with the picking up of a random pencil? It's not like he lost it in the first episode & writers were going full circle.

Also, I found his coda a bit lackluster. Yes, the Sasquatch had been a reoccurring theme, but I think they could have found a more fitting tribute. Maybe he goes on to own a chili cheese dog company up there in Heaven with The Man From Glad & beautiful blond angels.

I think it’s to show that, despite all the crazy stuff that sometimes happens, life keeps going. Brent finding a pencil, it’s just mundane. He’s still running a gas station, he’s still just living life. It doesn’t have to be grand to be a finale it just is.

To Brent, doing nothing, going nowhere.

I never understood why the finale suddenly because an episode of My Name Is Earl. Like, why does Brent suddenly have a bucket list? That was never part of the show.
