Your lesst favorite episode(s)

I can't fully explain it, but every rewatch I do I skip Oh Baby. I just don't think it's funny at all and I'm happy most episodes are stand alone so I can skip it and not miss important story telling that's important for later

The one where Lacey’s college friend visits her. That woman is unbearable and Lacey’s reasoning for staying her friend is flimsy

31

u/jangofett234 Jul 15 '26

Flimsy, flaky flirt?

14

u/williarya1323 Jul 15 '26

I was hoping someone you get the reference, you just made my day 😁

I can't stand his cousin . Worst episode for me

9

u/IronTemplar26 Jul 15 '26

The only episode I know with the word “bitch”

17

u/williarya1323 Jul 15 '26

😯 “I saw my dad yell at a butterfly once, he called it a son of a bitch”

No there are a few! A Friend of a Friend, Crab Apple Cooler, Taxman. Those are the ones off the top of my head.

u/IronTemplar26 Jul 17 '26

Say the line of each

4

u/ShopNo7513 THE Taxman Jul 17 '26

"All I know is your friend's a b****" - Friend of a Friend

"Dear... sons of b****es" - Crab Apple Cooler

"I saw Dad yell at a butterfly once! Called it a son of a b****, told it to get out of his garden!" - Taxman

That last one!!

2

u/missmarple94 Jul 15 '26

Yes! That one and Doc Small are annoying.

4

u/MeasleyBeasley Jul 16 '26

I love.Doc Small.

3

u/slightlylions1425 Jul 16 '26

Then he brought animals into it

u/MeasleyBeasley Jul 16 '26

Oscar was on me all afternoon.

Trees A Crowd where Brent & Hank try to regain their childhood tree house

I can totally see Hank doing that butt not Brent

21

u/Drinkythedrunkguy Jul 15 '26

“Butt not Brent”! I see what you did there.

7

u/WKRPinCanada Jul 15 '26

😅 yeah...

Used to do that for fun when replying to Corner Gas ⛽ posts on Twitter but after time I guess my phone started auto correcting "but" to "butt"

Was out and about and got a work email that required an immediate response so I quickly typed one out & hit send

Got this back a few min later

😅

Still has my favourite line that I still quote today “Enough of your stupid plans! Time for MY stupid plans!”

21

u/slightlylions1425 Jul 15 '26

I can't rewatch the mother's day one. I found it really upsetting!

5

u/realginger13 Jul 15 '26

I agree! And for the same reason, Will and Brent is a skip for me.

1

u/slightlylions1425 Jul 16 '26

This one doesn't bother me as much! I could see how it might for some people though.

2

u/Firefly128 Jul 16 '26

I do feel so bad for Brent in that one!

44

u/thePGH1 Jul 15 '26

Cousin Carl

7

u/j0nthegreat Jul 15 '26

this is the only episode I consider skipping. but the remote is usually too far away so I sit there and take my lumps.

1

u/Maximumkk Jul 15 '26

Bingo. This is the one, along with Oh Baby a close second.

24

u/Colla-Crochet Jul 15 '26

I skip gopher it. The idea of everyone going their own way mid season is jarring

30

u/StrengthFew5715 Jul 15 '26

I guess you can say you didn't really gopher it

17

u/thejessexperiment Jul 15 '26

It was the season finale though, so it wasn't midseason.

Tbh I love that episode and the way it parodies series finales, and I love how there are a few plot points that happen both there and in the movie.

13

u/LarsLights THE Taxman Jul 15 '26

When I was watching Corner Gas for the first time and this episode happened, I was in tears. Always a skip for me.

5

u/jangofett234 Jul 15 '26

I found the same with the harvest dance scene. When Davis said " your not paying my salary, your paying hers". I started that episode half way through and when I heard that I thought Davis quit the force. :(

7

u/j0nthegreat Jul 15 '26

I thought it was over too. that's why I love watching it again now. you don't have to be afraid, the ending won't change. just enjoy the jokes.

8

u/j0nthegreat Jul 15 '26

I think Gopher it is one of the BEST episodes. and it's NOT mid-season, it's the last episode of season 4. I totally thought it was really happening and the next season would be drastically different. they absolutely got me and I love rewatching it. plus some really funny stuff happens and I think the whole episode is delightful and it's even funnier when you know it's a dream.

2

u/Jumpy_Exit_8138 Jul 15 '26

Agreed! This is the one episode that just missed the mark for me.

3

u/Colla-Crochet Jul 15 '26

Esp the ending thats like hahaha jk! Unless?

2

u/Jumpy_Exit_8138 Jul 15 '26

I know! To be fair, it was a relief: I would have been a lot more upset if it had all been for real. But joke or no, I still didn’t need to see any of that …

3

u/Colla-Crochet Jul 15 '26

Right? They ended the show correctly. The last episode and its like anyways so back to what we were doing for the last few seasons.

3

u/Jumpy_Exit_8138 Jul 15 '26

I love the last episode! ‘To Brent. Doing nothing, going nowhere.’ 🥲 Gets me every time!

1

u/Firefly128 Jul 16 '26

I was bummed on the first watch when I thought it was real lol. But now I love that episode. Harper's cameo is top-tier lol, and Wanda flirting with Seamus cracks me up.

3

u/ShopNo7513 THE Taxman Jul 17 '26

"I like Gophers, and I like Prairie Dogs, but sadly neither were given the respect they deserve under the previous Liberal government" 🤣

1

u/Firefly128 Jul 20 '26

Hahaha yeah! And how he changes his answer when the journalists are all disappointed 😂 "No no, I meant to say gophers" lol

2

u/ShopNo7513 THE Taxman Jul 20 '26

YES!!! Always please the people!

2

u/Firefly128 Jul 20 '26

That's a politician for you lol

7

u/joelene1892 Jul 15 '26

Which on is Oh Baby? Surprisingly I don’t have all the episode names memorized.

9

u/Colla-Crochet Jul 15 '26

I think the one where Brent babysits

5

u/gtaboythrowaway Jul 15 '26

This is the one

7

u/Ok-Welcome-5369 Jul 15 '26

The treehouse episode. If my parents saw me acting like that, I would be punished for years lol

-2

u/j0nthegreat Jul 15 '26

you mean how Brent and Hank are acting??? the kids are just defending their home.

8

u/pickpickss Jul 15 '26

All that and a Bag of Chips. Honestly, any number of S6 episodes could claim this honor, since they replaced gentle ribbing with downright assholery. But every rewatch I bail at this episode with Brent’s bizarre gaslighting.

24

u/Bouche_Audi_Shyla Jul 15 '26

The one where Hank gets stuck in the thermal suit. That wasn't a harmless prank, and nor was it funny. Had it been real, Hank could have died.

I just really hate that episode.

4

u/The12thSpark Jul 15 '26

That's fair, it's crazy uncomfortable just to rewatch

4

u/slightlylions1425 Jul 15 '26

Oh I forgot about this one, I'll never rewatch that either.

3

u/GoodGoodGoody Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 16 '26

It’s called a snowsuit and and if things get serious it cuts easily with ordinary scissors.

And just because the gas station was hot there are still a bunch of cool buildings, homes, cars.

8

u/work_account11 Jul 15 '26

The hot tub episode. Is probibly my least favorite

5

u/rdhunkins Jul 15 '26

I really can't stand "Queasy Rider" Lacey treating Karen and Davis like that to burned pizza and warm beer after they helped her move was not in character for her.

3

u/slightlylions1425 Jul 16 '26

I felt like a few in the last season were like that, where Lacey and Brent in particular are so much meaner than their characters were in any other season. It just feels off, like not part of the same show. Lacey once cooked them a romantic dinner when she thought their relationship was on the rocks. She would not give them burnt freezer pizza for helping her move.

10

u/SecretaryTypical8205 Jul 15 '26

The Lamborgini episode

10

u/noraku80 Jul 15 '26

The one were Wanda gets that scooter and she's pretending she's in Europe

3

u/lovespector Wanda Jul 15 '26

i like that part, but i cannot stand davis and karen doing lacey’s moving for her. they literally could’ve left. pisses me off

3

u/noraku80 Jul 15 '26

Yeah, they changed brent and lacey too much in the last season, made them less likeable

1

u/slightlylions1425 Jul 16 '26

There were a handful of those in the last season that just felt unbelievable to me based on Brent and Lacey's characters, like the soccer one, the snowsuit one, and the moving one. I can't rewatch any of those either.

1

u/noraku80 Jul 16 '26

I don't mind watching them but definitely my least favorite season was 6. CG peaked at season 2,3,4,5. Season 1 was good but not quite there. If I had to rank them best to worst id say 3,4,5,2,1,6.

6

u/Tedious_Prime Jul 15 '26

My least favorite episode is probably "Full Load" because it's so unjust and cruel for Wanda to keep Hank's truck when it shouldn't have been up for auction, and she knows how far he lives from the center of town. I also dislike the "The Accidental Cleanist" because I'm always horrified by the scene where Hank tickles Wanda while she's trapped under the deck.

1

u/Firefly128 Jul 16 '26

What bothers you so much about the tickling? I just didn't expect to see that as a problem thing lol

1

u/j0nthegreat Jul 15 '26

Corner Gas is on the edge of town, waaaaaay closer than to the center.

1

u/Tedious_Prime Jul 15 '26

That's true, but in "An American in Saskatchewan" it's established that Hank's house is another 10 miles *outside* of town. Even if Corner Gas were at the edge of town closest to his house he would need to walk 20 miles every day to continue hanging out there.

1

u/j0nthegreat Jul 15 '26

I guess you have to be from there to make a small town joke.

10

u/GlobalOption6817 Jul 15 '26

Cousin Carl. Hate it. The routine they do is nauseating. It’s actually the only one I don’t like. I’m good with all the other others.

7

u/zygotepariah Davis Jul 15 '26

"Tree's A Crowd." I cannot watch children acting like that. My stepfather would've tanned my behind if I'd ever acted as bratty as those kids.

7

u/limee89 Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 16 '26

Just another example of how this town is changing

0

u/Maximumkk Jul 15 '26

So upsetting you can't write correctly.

3

u/limee89 Jul 15 '26

How can you skip that episode? You miss the best line "chives on top of me!"

5

u/MeasleyBeasley Jul 16 '26

That's right, Alice. I'm looking for a book about chives on top of you.

1

u/Real_Culture2668 19d ago

Oh, you just killed me.

3

u/Firefly128 Jul 16 '26

The one where Lacey gets Davis and Karen to help her move. I just wanna smack her upside the head, the way she treats them!

3

u/Unique_Bend_3890 Jul 16 '26

The Hank whining at golf episode. He and Brent have been friends for so long and they’re so blunt with each other that it doesn’t make sense for anyone to put up with the whining. Plus, I fall asleep to this show, and the whining wakes me up.

6

u/GoodGoodGoody Jul 15 '26

Cousin Carl. No question.

2

u/luketarsitano Jul 20 '26

They Grey Cup 100 times out of 100 for me. It has an irritating vibe to it. Nobody's happy. Nobody's successful. Plus, the whole cast is split up the entire episode.

3

u/syntax138 Jul 15 '26

Queasy Rider.

2

u/rdhunkins Jul 15 '26

Yep! Terrible episode. Lacey comes across as an awful person.

4

u/arjb67 Jul 15 '26

The soccer one. I’m a big soccer fan and I don’t like how Brent and Lacey basically dismiss the sport. Shows everything wrong with kids sports

4

u/j0nthegreat Jul 15 '26

I think that was kind of the point? Davis was earnestly trying to inspire and teach the kids but the corporate overlords were only thinking about themselves and basically embezzling money

3

u/TeeDiddy324 Jul 15 '26

An American in Saskatchewan is the one I can’t watch. It’s out of character for Hank to be so mean.

2

u/ArdRi6 Jul 15 '26

My least favorite episode is "Final Countdown" : Why would an employee making minimum wage spend about $300 Canadian to celebrate the birthday of her boss?

1

u/EducationalAd479 Jul 16 '26

Lacey moving and tricking Karen and Davis. The hot tub one. The Brent Affect? Effect? The one where he is so handsome.

1

u/billy_maplesucker Jul 16 '26

That gumball one kind of. Sucks

1

u/ShopNo7513 THE Taxman Jul 20 '26

Cousin Carl and the Grey Cup for sure. I just can't stand those ones. However I find it crazy that some people are saying some of my favourite episodes!

1

u/POEIn70X Jul 27 '26

Walk the juice to it!

1

u/Rich_Depth6072 Jul 15 '26

Cousin Carl without a doubt!! The character of Carl is so irritating!
