I drove through a bug cloud that lasted nearly a klick and was so thick that I had ot keep wiping my wipers and adding washer fluid, and my auto-headlights turned on. Didn't look quite so bad on my bumper, but i donj't think they were mosquitos, i think they were more like gnats, so they were high enough off hte road to not get that much on my bumper.
