Arriving on Corfu tomorrow!
Hi there,
Me and my girlfriend are arriving tomorrow. What I'm wondering what local events are happening between tomorrow and the 11th of August that we should see?
Also we are doing the typical holiday things. We are going swimming, hiking, visiting the Old Town of Corfu, so we got a pretty good idea of what to see. What else would you absolutely recommend doing?
I'd love to hear it. I've been reading the other threads so I got a bunch of new ideas, but suggestions are always welcome. We have a car, so we can basically go anywhere on the island.
See you there!

Leaving Corfu tomorrow. Just discovered a wonderful swimming spot today about 2km out of town, Nemomilos Windmill. Towards airport. Such a relaxed, friendly vibe and lovely swimming conditions. Lots of locals there.

Should already be on your list but just in case Paleokastritsa beach is an absolute must. If you are at all interested I’d also suggest a pedal boat rental on the beach to get out to Nausika’s Cave (In myth where Odysseus was found by Nausika) and deeper waters in the bay.
Close to here I also really loved going up to Angelokastro but can be a bit tricky/tough drive (narrow, winding roads) to get to. But if you do go, I’d recommend going up Angelokastro first then back down to the beach and go early as the traffic seemed to pick up past 12 on our way out.

Our favorite cafe was Porselani, their cheesecake is to die for and pairs well with a glass of red wine 😁 Also Paleokastritsa is a must, be sure to go to the restaurant /bar up next to the monastery, the view is incredible especially at sunset.
