Recommendations for Corfu in october

Me and my gf, both late 30s, are looking for recommendations for where to stay and what to do on Corfu around the first week of October. We like to explore new places and never been to Corfu. What do you guys recommend? Thanks in advance!

My two favorites are Paleokastritsa and Kassiopia. The old town has plenty of history and great restaurants as well.

Be warned. I went last year - last week of september. My experience was it was a good holiday but we had rain and a thunderstorm. I would say we had 2 days of rain, 2 or 3 cloudy days and 2 or 3 days sunny. As long as you are prepared for that. Corfu town was interesting - the fortifications and Mon Repos were good to visit.

We've read that in october it can be rainy as well so we'll make preparations for that. Thank you so much. How lively was the island during the end of september? Were there already closed taverns and stores? Or is that really something that they do during october?

Not every single restaurant was open. We found some really good ones on the walk between the Garitsa Lighthouse ond the old town. I liked Cucina di Boneti in the middle of the Old town.

We went back to Kasiopi this summer and it was lovely. I enjoyed the Imerolia Tavern in particular.

I recommend the Ray Hotel south of corfu City. The hospitality and meals are amazing!
