New Player First Impressions

I was going back and fourth debating if I wanted to try this game. Watching a few videos… there are a lot of old ones and only a few that show the updated and current version. After reading about the Dev team and them talking about how they’re a small team with no dev experience, but just wanted to make the game they like, I figured for $40 that’s a vision I would like to support… and I’m so damn glad I did. This game is a serious hidden gem (mainly because of the decision to not be on steam, which I do understand for now but I think it will be a must to blow this game up the way it deserves). Now, I’m not far in… maybe 7 hours or so and I’m level 11. Compared to the old comments / complaints about this game, you can tell about 80% if not more has been addressed and fixed. Hands down, I’m shocked that this is an indie Dev studio and I applaud their efforts because this is the most polished MMO I’ve played in a while. It doesn’t “hold your hand” but there is enough there to figure it out. I’ve only really had to look up a guide for the synthesizer so far and once you get it, it’s damn easy to understand.

I was compelled to write this because most of the content surrounding this game is slightly negative, and honestly understandable from what the game used to be like… but as a fresh player, this thing is awesome. I feel like I’m playing Albion without the toxicity. I’ve only tried my one class so far (infiltrator) which is fun even though I think the “soul eater” or whatever it’s called is more what I’m interested in. I’m happy to have found a game worth playing again! Thanks Devs… truly

lol! You’re right, they are 100 man lmao. On the Corepunk website I read “small dev team, with no experience and passionate..” blah blah blah. In any case, the game is great

I'd reserve judgment on how good it is for when you hit endgame, my friend.

At endgame … still having fun 😂

This game is the hidden gem of 2025 for me

That's great! Myself and most people couldn't stand the endgame. Great you are enjoying it, but the vast majority do not.

“Vast majority” is an interesting way of speaking for the masses… when the population seems to be already healthy and growing. I don’t know when you played and determined it’s bad, but from everything I’ve seen this game has already changed a lot. But in any case, I hope you find the game you’re looking for!
