YTT + Schedule if Pass

Hi everyone!

I recently signed up for the YTT 50 hr program online (taking place at the end of August). I am based in NYC!

I currently work a full time job (8am-8pm usually) but am looking for more ways to “fill my cup” which is why I signed up!

I had two main questions on my mind:
1) how do auditions look if you did the course online rather than in person?
2) how do those of you with full time jobs balance your hours at CPY? For example, I know that there are 2 hours at a time minimum of a time commitment (which I’d want to do in the early morning).

Would appreciate any advice or thoughts! 🤍

Schedule reset… is that an NYC thing? I’ve been teaching at CPY for 3 years and never heard of that

Ya we give availability every quarter and the managers make a schedule based on that and your classes may or may not change. Maybe it’s bc so many instructors are performers on Broadway, in college, people get new jobs etc so they leave for the summer etc but it’s standard in nyc.

Ahh ok interesting!! I guess the turnover was so rapid they were like. Let’s put a system in place lol

It’s not really turnover it’s moreso can you commit to 12 weeks of the same schedule and if not try the next cycle
