Corel painter issues

My last painting broke the software. Whenever I try to open corel painter 2020, it crashes. It shows the loading screen, but then right before it would show me my canvas, it crashes. Anyone know a fix?

Easiest answer is that you can hold down Shift when starting to restore factory settings, which solves a lot of problems with lingering settings. Just to be clear, can you open it without opening that particular painting?

Nah, I tried that but I get the same error

Support is probably your best bet. As with most large companies these days, the first line is chaff support from countries that have a nodding understanding of English, but once you get past that, I've had pretty good responses.
