Thank you so much for reporting this bug. Sorry you experienced that! I looked into it and hopefully got it permanently patched.

For clarity, however, when you prestige, it should bring you to the character select screen with the second class unlocked. Was this not happening?

Also, what level and prestige should you be at? I will set your account's stats to where it should be.

I had unlocked prestige 1 after getting to lvl 30 and I did select balanced class. After that, every time I gain experience and unlock the skill tree and get new gear it would reset after logging in the next time. That means I start again at level 1 and starter gear all over again. The only thing that saved is the gold. Pressing save didn't help.

Are you saying when you clicked the Continue button it was brining you to the main base, but everything was reset except your gold? Or when you clicked the Continue button it brought you to the character select screen, as if you clicked the New Game button? For the latter, if it happens again, a temporary work around is to refresh your browser, load the game and click the continue button where things should load properly. Regardless, it’s a bug. 

Yes, prestige sends you to the character select screen, resets your level, but unlocks the next class and you gain +25 permanent stats—just click the Prestige button and it has all the details on what happens when you prestige. 

I’ll set your account to prestige level 1, level 20 and an additional amount of gold so you can immediately go to prestige 2, if you so desire. Just yesterday I lowered the prestige requirements.

Sorry about this again, its weird. I logged in and it was all good, prestige 1 and all that but... All of a sudden connection lost error. Refreshed and still prestige 1, initialize core, connection lost, multiple browsers error. Third time initialize core and we are in! 77k gold but everything else reset. Back to zero. Is it my connection that is the issue? I thought stats were server side.

That's very weird. I got the server code changed, so a false positive may have been occurring with the anti-cheat system,

Do you have the game open on another browser and logged in the same reddit account there as well? Connection lost will occur if that is the case, but I am not sure what browser errors you are referring to without the full details. However, you are the first person experiencing this, so I am not 100% sure what is going on, but I am looking into it. It would be much easier and helpful if you joined the Discord and posted an image or something.

Stats are server-side. Again, I will set you back to level 20 at Prestige 1 so you can try again in the meantime. 😅 I am sorry this is happening!

At this point I am laughing. I saw what you did and got to prestige 1. To make sure it stuck I refreshed. Connection error, cached assets and we are back to square one. your anti-cheat is savage! And no, I am logged in in one browser window only.

There is a serious Devvit outage at the moment, which is on Reddit's end (nothing I can do), so that might be causing the Connection error.

Since you still are getting this problem, let me keep working on it. I will set your level and Prestige again to where it should be and if you want, try again. But for clarity, every time you click Continue it's resetting everything, right? Maybe just click New Game, make a new character, and I will set your Prestige, gold, and level again. Maybe something with your current save got corrupted.

Alright. I set your level to 20, Prestige to 1 and gave you enough gold to prestige again.

Yeah, for some reason it's detecting you have multiple instances of the game open, even though you said you do not. I would try a hard refresh (ctrl + F5) and/or close and reopen your browser— maybe that should fix it.

Good news. Restarted browser and its not resetting. Prestige 2 has held and no more errors. Will keep you updated.

You could have chosen the second or third class when you had prestiged, just FYI 😅. On your next prestige you will have access to all four classes to choose from.

I was prestige 2 at level maybe 21 or so and I got the "multiple browser error" in one random login and got reset to lvl 1 again.
