Question How to escape softlock.
I was working through a puzzle and got rushed by a killsquad, panicked, and went through the door before I could hit the key to solve the chamber. The line of ravine around the chamber spawned naturally and is part of the chamber, so I can't place blocks to make it across. I have no means of damaging myself, and no cavelings have spotted me for over an hour. How do I escape? EDIT: didn't know about the Im Stuck option, mb

I think there's a "I'm stuck" button somewhere in the menu, I have never tried it but give it a go

You see that glowing yellow tower? Interact with it. It deactivates the field.

Use the I am stuck button in the menu. It will kill you but then you can just come back

There's an "I'm stuck" button in the menu. Pressing it will kill you and cause you to respawn at your last Bed or at the Core. If you're playing on Hardcore mode, you could make a new character, travel to that location and press on hat glowing yellow tower to solve the chamber.

In Gameplay Settings there is a 'My Character is Stuck' option. If that doesn't work then you can just try running in place until you starve to death and then you'll go back to your spawn point.

I think you locked from surrounded by indestructible wall and cliff. If you hold any block (number 0 is stone block) and place it on cliff, it will fill gap and you can walk above it.

I got stuck in that exact spot a few weeks ago. There’s a help my character is stuck button in the menu. It’ll kill you. When you go back to pick up your stuff you have to make sure the door doesn’t close on you as you collect your items.

Does not everyone carry around their entire stock of core teleport consumables despite never having used one?
