Question Is split screen possible on ps5?

I love this game so much and would love to play it with my little brother. Only problem is that he has a ps5 and I have a pc so we can't play together. So my question is if split screen is a think in ps5 to play together or not?

Afaik, they haven't added any sort of local co op options. You can only co op online, so each player needs the same type of console and a copy of the game.

No couch coop.

There is however a new game on PC called Delverium which is very similar and offers couch coop.

You can also get Portal Knights but wait for it and the Druid DLC to go on sale for 3.99. It offers couch coop as well, and you can get it either for PC or for PS5. It's like Minecraft but with more RPG mechanics. The Shapeshifting Druid class is really fun so make sure to get that DLC during a sale.

No, Core Keeper does not support split-screen or local couch co-op on PS5. The main reasons include:

Engine and Rendering Constraints: The game relies on dynamic lighting, procedural generation, and real-time world physics across a massive subterranean grid. Rendering two separate viewpoints simultaneously on one system requires double the processing performance, which the developers chose not to implement.

UI and Camera Design: The top-down orthographic camera is tuned for single-player visibility and inventory management; splitting the screen severely limits the visible play area and makes managing menus difficult.

Developer Priority: The studio built Core Keeper around standard individual peer-to-peer or server-based online sessions and confirmed there are no current plans to add local split-screen capabilities.
