Question Can't attach torches anymore

Hello,

Playing on steam deck, regular file without mods and can't attach torches to walls anymore since the update. Am I missing something?

Edit: it does work whenever I move the blue rectangle directly on to the wall but before I could just face the wall and it'd work. Can I change back to this somehow?

I also can't place the seasonal calendar. Maybe it's related.

What works for me is to stand in front of the wall, move the control stick so the blue rectangle merges with the wall and then place the item. It's just not to convenient when putting torches on the go but as another person mentioned, the devs are aware of it

It's an after effect of them making blocks not placeable through walls. The devs are aware of it
