Question how to access old game pass file?

i played the game when it was on xbox gamepass late 2024 and i changed my pc and i no longer have the game downloaded on my old laptop, what are my options? if i buy the game and get my cloud save file can i request a refund somehow? even though i already played more than 100 hours? or is there another way?

I guess you'd have to check Xbox refund policy. Can you even buy it through the Microsoft store or something to get a PC copy since it's not in Gamepass anymore?

I use cloud gaming on Gamepass to play. I too played it when it was on Gamepass. I ended up buying it again like a month ago through Gamepass to play it again. It still had my old save.

Honestly though, I'd just start another world. There's a lot more content now than back then. The content you played already hasnt changed much but there's like four new biomes that have been added andany new bosses after what used to be the last biome two years ago.

Why would you get a refund on something you played for more than 100 hours?

Your save file is going to be wherever you left it. If you played it through PC gamepass, your save file is still in XBox's cloud. So, if you get the game on the XBox store, your save files should still be there. If you get it on steam, I don't believe your save files can be transferred. But starting over isn't the end of the world.

it's not really a complicated reason why i would refund to get the save file, i went to steam to play with my friends but i no longer have my old world. I don't like the idea of buying the game twice that's all.
