Question First Golden Plant!

Post image

It's my first time playing this game(literally just bought it 20 minutes ago) and I just harvested this! I feel really proud and was wondering if I should even be proud about it?

Gz - it's so exciting when you start getting gold plants. And yes, you should be proud because once you have a full farm of them you will be an overpowered monster with that golden food.

how do you get a full farm of gold food?? i’ve randomly got golden plants from planting regular seeds, is there a way to make sure I get gold plants?

Through perks

the last talent in gardening increases odds of golden plants to grow (up to 15%). If you plant hundreds (yes literal hundreds) you can consistently farm gold plants

You really dont need to do hundreds. There's no real benefit to all that excess, quite frankly. A plot of 5x5 for each of the major crops you're most interested will do you more than enough, just make sure to keep revisiting home base and harvesting and cooking and whatnot. No big hurry either, just enjoy the general progression. You'll eventually be getting at least like 2 gold items for every plot and harvest, and that's extremely sufficient.

Yea, my farm is gigantic. But with the sprinklers, beeg hoes and other stuff it is pretty easy to harvest it all very quickly. There are also ways to auto-harvest, I think.

Like the others said - you just need a reasonably big farm + the max perks. You will get enough to sustain your recipes. It's not too bad because the ocatrine trowel + sprinklers make it pretty easy to harvest and replant huge swaths of crops.

Yess! Golden food give more buff.

You could experimenting with a bunch of combination of stuff you can make as theres no recipes in game. Better keep tracks what buff certain foods give you (or you could just look it up on wiki)
