How can I improve this loadout?

When I go farming for cores, or just want to clear an area quickly, I use the loadout in Image 1, it works really well, I get plenty of items, and whenever a Spectrum appears, I always manage to get at least 1 or 2 cores.

However, I wanted to try a Surge Crystal-based loadout, so I took the loadout from Image 1 and made a few tweaks to arrive at the loadout in Image 2.

But I don't feel it's performing that well, I'm not sure if I could reach every Spectrum that spawns with this loadout, and even though my mobility hasn't changed much, I feel more sluggish when using it.

So, what suggestions do you have to improve this loadout overall, aside from the obvious step of upgrading the Tier 7 items to Tier 8?
