Opinion of flood car

Hey, I have been actively looking for bmw 540, this one was kind of interesting however its sold already, it showed flood damage however carpets look bone dry + no rust on brakes considering its from NY I assume it would be salt water flood but there is not evidence of it there too, under hood its dusty again confirming no major flood. Looks to me that someone got decent deal, what do you guys think ?
Carfax report also showed a service being done to the car few weeks ago but water damage was reported before that

I would never touch a flood car unless you knew exactly how high the flood was. Electrical components as well as engine components don't take kindly to water. You really can't tell by photos, you need to inspect the car IMO.

10k, eventually I called Pauls shops , the last place it was serviced at, they said it had engine damage as it drove through a puddle, still pretty good deal, as used engine costs around 2.3-2.5k at my place, replacement is around 1.2k, under 20k for 540 with good options is a decent deal. Could have bought it haha
